Grand Rapids to Salt Lake
1600 miles from Grand Rapids to Salt Lake over two days last week in our new (used) car! Fun VW Jetta, finally i get to drive a manual again! Pretty much one road the whole way (I-80). Fun sights on the way:

My ass hurts from this drive, but driving a manual was fun. Particularly liked the "Islands" in the mid west- Grand Island and Rock Island- wishful thinking on the part of the heartland folk i think. Wyoming needs to be one big wind farm and generate enough energy for neighbouring Utah. I have never driven in wind gusts like it. Love Mich
